What is a health coach anyway?
In a nutshell, a health coach is someone who works with you to create positive, sustainable changes that will improve your overall health and wellness. When working with me, you’ll find I take a holistic approach that goes beyond nutrition and exercise to recognize that everything is connected.
How will I know when it’s time to hire a health coach?
Only you will truly know when the time is right for you, but one sign to look for is when you start to notice yourself repeating the same patterns that you can’t seem to get out of, even if you '“know” you want to.
What do you specialize in?
Holistic, integrative health and wellness. That means I see you as a multi-dimensional being and view health and wellness beyond the traditional lens of diet and exercise. With My EcoSystem, we will cast a wide to view your health and wellness from a variety of perspectives and understand how they are all integrated with each other.
What is the difference between therapy and coaching?
Whereas therapy is delivered by a therapist and generally focuses on healing the past via the present, health coaches work with you in the present to achieve goals for the future.
Do you accept insurance?
Though I do not bill health insurance providers directly, you may be able to utilize your Health Savings Account (HSA), Flexible Spending Account (FSA), or Health Reimbursement Account (HRA) through your employer.
Will you provide me with a specific diet, exercise, or meal plan?
I can work with you to create Your EcoSystem, including the kinds of food and meals that you would like to eat based on what works for you. Through coaching, you will become more empowered to independently continue to eat and exercise in accord with your own unique needs.
